Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of production areas, equipment, and workspaces using appropriate cleaning tools and chemical agents. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for storage, mixing, application, and disposal. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and protective clothing to ensure safety during all cleaning activities. Follow sanitation procedures aligned with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards to prevent contamination. Conduct heavy lifting tasks as needed to move supplies, equipment, or waste materials safely and efficiently. Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and sanitation activities for compliance purposes. Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to chemical handling, respiratory protection, and overall sanitation practices. Experience Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment is preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks with attention to detail. Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of PPE. Experience working with GMP standards or in environments requiring strict sanitation protocols is advantageous. Basic math skills for measuring chemicals and recording data accurately. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
