A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Cleaning offices, restrooms, hallways, and other facilities. 2. Using custodial equipment. 3. Proper handling of chemicals. 4. Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
