AM Clubhouse Custodian

Job Summary The AM Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the clubhouse facility during morning hours, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests from the moment they arrive. This role covers all interior areas of the clubhouse including common areas, locker rooms, restrooms, and other club spaces. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a keen eye for detail, and understands the importance of upholding the high standards expected in a private club environment. This is a early morning position that requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently to have the facility guest-ready each day. Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain all common areas including lobbies, hallways, lounges, and dining areas to a high standard of cleanliness Thoroughly clean and sanitize men's and women's locker rooms, including showers, sinks, toilets, mirrors, and vanity areas Restock restroom and locker room supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and toiletries throughout the shift Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish hard floors and carpeted areas throughout the clubhouse Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, windowsills, baseboards, and other surfaces Empty and reline trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas Clean and sanitize restrooms in public-facing areas of the building Set up and maintain the appearance of member-facing spaces before the club opens each morning Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the facilities manager Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and mop systems Follow all club sanitation standards, safety protocols, and OSHA guidelines Assist with special cleaning projects, event setup/breakdown, and deep cleaning as needed Communicate professionally with members and staff when present during morning hours Qualifications Prior custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred; country club or hospitality experience a plus Ability to work early morning shifts reliably and punctually Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and sanitation standards Strong attention to detail with a pride in maintaining immaculate spaces Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Physical ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift Friendly, professional demeanor with respect for member privacy and comfort Ability to follow written and verbal instructions High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
