A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.
Nature of Work Under limited supervision performs work of routine difficulty in the cleaning and maintenance of County facilities; performs related work as assigned.

Touch and finger dexterity while cleaning.
Environmental conditions includes:
hazards (mechanical and electrical) from vacuum cleaner, buffer, etc; (chemicals) from floor and window cleaners, wax, etc; atmospheric conditions includes: fumes from chemicals, odors from cleaning products; office dust; mist from spray bottles-aerosols. Minimum Qualifications One year of custodial experience; OR any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout.

Previous professional custodial experience.
