Custodian

Custodian 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars American Leadership Academy is currently accepting applications for full-time and part-time custodians at our Florence campus, Anthem South JH/HS, who will keep school buildings and premises in clean, orderly and safe condition. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, an IVP fingerprint clearance card from the Department of Public Safety. Previous experience working as a custodian or industrial housekeeper is preferred, but not required. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming. Gather and empty trash. Service, clean, and supply restrooms. Clean windows and mirrors. Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment. Spray insecticides and fumigants to prevent insect and rodent infestations. Set up, arrange and remove tables, chairs, ladders and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events. Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours. Assist with the school's energy conservation practices by turning off unneeded lights and equipment; identifying unoccupied areas of the building where heating and cooling can be shut down; and reporting leaking faucets, pipes and sprinklers. Other related duties as assigned.
