What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Performs routine manual cleaning work. Ensures that established standards of cleanliness are met. Reports directly to an assigned supervisor for broad direction and work standards; either directly or indirectly to building administrator for daily special and supportive work assignments. Regular attendance is necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. Position Details
