Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to uphold high hygiene standards. Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning processes. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for mixing, application, storage, and disposal in accordance with chemical handling safety protocols. Conduct floor care activities including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine flooring conditions. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting in residential or commercial settings to support overall facility upkeep. Follow safety protocols rigorously during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks to prevent injuries and ensure a safe working environment. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries politely and assisting visitors or staff with their custodial needs when necessary. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings demonstrating familiarity with cleaning procedures and equipment. Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures along with experience operating cleaning machinery like floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; physical stamina for manual handling tasks is essential. Strong understanding of sanitation standards and facilities maintenance practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety protocols consistently during all cleaning activities. Customer service skills that enable positive interactions with staff, clients, or visitors while representing the organization professionally.
