Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct industrial and commercial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. Execute floor care procedures including buffing and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment issues. Provide porter services as needed, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment within the facility. Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Experience Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus. Experience in commercial cleaning environments is advantageous. Skills in residential painting or facilities maintenance will be considered beneficial. A strong understanding of floor care practices is desirable.
