Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitorial Worker to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. In this vital role, you will ensure that all areas are kept spotless, sanitized, and well-maintained, creating a welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of our facility. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies Handle chemical agents safely by following established chemical handling safety procedures and protocols Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain floors in pristine condition Conduct sanitation tasks such as trash removal, disinfecting surfaces, and replenishing supplies to uphold hygiene standards Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs and residential painting as needed Follow safety protocol adherence during all cleaning activities, heavy lifting, and manual handling tasks to prevent injuries Support facilities maintenance efforts by reporting any damages or hazards promptly for prompt resolution Skills Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and industrial cleaning methods Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to safety protocols and handling safety procedures Skilled in operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools Excellent manual handling skills with safe lifting practices for heavy objects or equipment Customer service oriented with a professional attitude when interacting with staff or visitors Experience in facilities maintenance or Porter roles is a plus, demonstrating versatility in custodial responsibilities Join us and become part of a team that values cleanliness, safety, and excellence!
