Janitor

Our client is currently seeking or in need of a Shipping Clerk in West Caldwell, New Jersey . This position is best suited for a dependable individual who takes pride in keeping work areas clean, organized, and properly maintained during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while completing assigned cleaning and facility-support tasks with accuracy. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous janitorial or sanitation experience who is looking for steady full-time work with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.

The Day-to-Day:

Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum building floors Service, clean, and restock restrooms Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, and common-area surfaces Wipe down sinks, countertops, microwaves, refrigerators, and break room areas Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using proper cleaning supplies Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and shared spaces Empty trash cans, replace liners, and clean receptacles as needed Remove recycling materials and place them in the correct designated areas Dust desks, office furniture, walls, and fixtures when areas are accessible Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water and detergents according to instructions Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as assigned Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the shift

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required Previous janitorial, sanitation, or facility cleaning experience preferred Strong attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently Comfortable working overnight hours Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning duties during the shift

Pay Rate:

$17.90 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 11:15 PM to 7:15

From $17.90 per hour
