What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Qualifications Education/Experience:
Any combination equivalent to High School diploma and two (2) years of experience performing custodial/maintenance duties.
• Include a 2.5%-night shift differential
Required Exam:
Must pass the SUHSD Lead Custodian classified position exam.
