Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Summary Under supervision of the Small Animal Nursing supervisor, clean, disinfect, sanitize and stock assigned areas according to established protocols. Monitor and record patient vital functions; maintain supply inventory and equipment; perform feeding, hospitalization and discharge procedures according to protocol. This position ends 4 months from date of hire with the possibility of extension.
RECRUITMENT PERIOD ONE MONTH

Experience using and working with cleaning supplies in a professional environment. Experience using cleaning equipment and agents. Skills to maintain inventory of supplies. Interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people, to include clients, clinicians, students and staff. Preferred Qualifications Education in veterinary technology or veterinary science. Experience working as a veterinary assistant in a small animal hospital with the skill to assist in the performance of veterinary medical treatments and procedures. Experience using safe animal handling and restraint techniques for a wide variety of patients. Knowledge of common hospital pathogens and methods of disinfection along with knowledge of medical terminology and disease processes. Key Responsibilities 80%

Its primary objectives are to train professional (veterinary) students, graduate clinical students (interns and residents), and graduate academic students; to provide veterinary services to the public; to serve as a referral center for practicing veterinarians, and to advance veterinary medical knowledge.
