The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment that supports the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents, visitors, and staff. Position Summary The Janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of resident rooms, common areas, offices, restrooms, and facility grounds. This role plays an important part in infection prevention, resident satisfaction, and overall facility operations. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize resident rooms, hallways, restrooms, dining areas, and common spaces Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces throughout the facility Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to facility procedures Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies as needed Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times Clean windows, doors, furniture, and fixtures Assist with floor care, including buffing and stripping when necessary Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or supply needs to management Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper storage of supplies Support a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for residents and guests Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred Experience in healthcare or skilled nursing settings is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies as needed Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Benefits Competitive pay at $20.00 per hour Full-time employment with stable scheduling Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holiday pay Supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization Apply Today Join Hayward Gardens Post Acute and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment where residents can thrive.
