About Sunflame Foods Sunflame Foods is a growing food processing company committed to producing high-quality food products while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and food sanitation. We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Evening Production & Facility Cleaner to join our team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment throughout our facility. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, is reliable, works independently, and can be trusted to properly secure the facility at the end of each shift. Position Summary The Evening Production & Facility Cleaner is responsible for thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing production areas, equipment, workstations, storage areas, and common spaces throughout the facility. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to food safety standards. In addition to cleaning duties, the position may occasionally assist with basic production support tasks, including thawing meat products, handling raw ingredients, and maintaining production tools. Because this role is typically the last position on-site each evening, the successful candidate must be trustworthy, responsible, and capable of securing the facility before leaving. Key Responsibilities Cleaning & Sanitation Thoroughly clean and sanitize food production areas after daily operations Clean and disinfect work tables, cutting boards, equipment, machinery, and production surfaces Clean production areas used for both vegetable and meat processing Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors throughout the facility Clean walls, drains, sinks, and other sanitation-sensitive areas Remove waste and garbage from production and office areas Transport trash to designated disposal locations Restock cleaning and sanitation supplies as needed Ensure all cleaning tasks meet company and food safety standards Facility Maintenance Maintain cleanliness in common areas, restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and other facility spaces Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or safety hazards to management Assist in keeping storage and supply areas organized Production Support Assist with thawing meat products when needed Move and transport ingredients, products, or materials safely Handle raw meat and vegetable products in accordance with food safety procedures Sharpen knives and maintain cutting tools as required Follow all company safety and sanitation procedures when handling equipment and food products Closing Responsibilities Verify all cleaning duties are completed before leaving Ensure equipment is properly shut down as instructed Secure the building by locking doors and following end-of-shift closing procedures Serve as the final team member responsible for ensuring the facility is properly closed for the evening QualificationsRequired Reliable, punctual, and dependable Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail Ability to follow sanitation and food safety procedures Comfortable working around raw meat and vegetable products Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials throughout the shift Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods Ability to be trusted with facility closing responsibilities Preferred Previous cleaning, janitorial, sanitation, warehouse, or food production experience Experience working in food manufacturing or food processing environments Knowledge of knife sharpening techniques Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds Stand and walk for extended periods Perform repetitive cleaning motions Work in refrigerated or cold production environments when necessary Safely handle cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment
