Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an afternoon/eventing Custodian who is dedicated and detail-oriented to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on quality and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces. Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure high standards of cleanliness. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Carry out residential painting and minor repairs as required to maintain facility aesthetics. Support facilities maintenance by reporting any issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel. Execute commercial cleaning duties in various settings, including offices, schools, or other public spaces. Act as a porter when necessary, assisting with the movement of furniture or equipment during events or maintenance activities. Skills Proven experience in custodial or custodial-related roles is preferred. Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation. Familiarity with floor care practices including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards consistently. Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
