The eligibility list will be used to fill any vacancies which may occur within a period of one year or until the eligibility list is depleted. Positions in this classification are full-time or part-time. Typically full-time positions are 8 hours per day, 12 months per year and the anticipated working hours of these positions will be 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday - Friday, and 10:30 am - 7 pm, Monday-Friday. Part-time position are 4 hours per day, 12 months per year, Monday - Friday. The recruitment process will consist of a training and experience evaluation and a structured interview, which will be scheduled on an ongoing basis.

BASIC FUNCTION

Under the direction of assigned administrators and the Custodial Services Supervisor or Lead Custodian, perform routine custodial duties at a designated school site during an assigned shift; maintain buildings and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly, safe, sanitary and secure condition. KNOWLEDGE OF

Proper methods, techniques, materials, tools and equipment used in modern custodial work. Modern cleaning methods including basic methods of cleaning floors, carpets, furniture, walls and fixtures. Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies. Requirements of maintaining District buildings in a safe, clean and orderly condition. Appropriate safety precautions and procedures. Proper lifting techniques.

ABILITY TO

Perform routine custodial duties at a designated school site during an assigned shift. Maintain buildings and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly, safe and secure condition. Use cleaning materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Operate a variety of custodial equipment. Maintain tools and equipment in clean working order. Move and arrange furniture and equipment. Observe and report safety hazards and need for maintenance and repair. Understand and follow oral and written directions. Observe health and safety regulations. Meet schedules and time lines.

Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above.
