Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to join our facilities team! Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Carry out specialized floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate teams. Support industrial cleaning projects when needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols during high-volume or deep-cleaning operations. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and storage areas related to custodial supplies and tools. Follow safety guidelines and proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing). Experience with facilities maintenance tasks and basic repairs is preferred. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers or floor scrubbers safely and effectively. Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and commercial cleaning standards. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders if necessary.
