POSITION OVERVIEW
The Steward position at Tradition Golf Club provides guests and employees with clean and sanitized utensils, plateware, glassware, and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Provide members, guests, and employees with clean utensils, plateware, glassware, and equipment. Ensures dishes are cleaned and available as needed. Maintains daily cleanliness and maintenance of dish machine. Washes plateware, glassware, silverware, pots/pans, and kitchen utensils according to sanitation and cleaning procedures. Places clean plateware, glassware, silverware, and pots/pans on specified shelves according to sanitation and cleaning procedures. Keeps dish areas clean by sweeping, mopping floors, wiping countertops, and emptying trash. Trouble-shoots dishwasher machine malfunctions. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position. Stands and walks during 6-8 hour shift. Reaches, bends, stoops and wipes. Lifts and carries supplies and equipment up to 60 lbs., throughout the entire shift: places these items on high and low shelves in storerooms, walk-ins, and freezers. Hazards include but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, burns, slipping, and tripping. Frequently immerses in hands in water. Works frequently in a hot and damp environment. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED graduate Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to four (4) hours in length. Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc., up to 50 pounds in weight on a frequent basis. Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication. Must possess finger and hand dexterity for the preparation of food items Required Licenses/Certifications Food Handlers certificate/card
