In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facilities. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of common areas, restrooms, offices, and hallways using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and floor care procedures to ensure a polished appearance Assist with industrial cleaning tasks when needed, including high dusting or specialized cleaning projects Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs or safety hazards promptly Provide porter services by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or maintenance needs Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing and polishing is advantageous Experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance will be considered a plus Knowledge of commercial cleaning products and safety protocols is desirable Previous porter or maintenance experience can enhance your application Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods is essential Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude are key qualities for success in this role Join us as a Day Porter and play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment!
