Job Summary Arbor Rehab & Nursing is seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness. Your proactive approach will help create a healthy space for employees, visitors, and clients alike. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained environment while developing your custodial skills in a dynamic setting. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility Conduct window cleaning and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques to ensure clarity and shine Handle chemical cleaning agents safely, adhering to proper protocols for sanitation and infection control Operate pressure washing equipment for exterior surfaces as needed to maintain curb appeal and cleanliness Maintain laundry services for facility linens or uniforms when required Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly during all cleaning tasks to ensure safety and compliance with health standards Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large cleaning supplies to support overall janitorial operations Requirements Floor technician experience is preferred Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings Knowledge of cleaning procedures including window cleaning, floor care, sanitation, and infection control practices Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, and floor buffers Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and the use of PPE for safety purposes Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation Excellent customer service skills to respond professionally to facility staff or visitor inquiries when necessary Join our team as a Janitor and play a crucial role in fostering a clean, safe, and inviting environment.
