Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained to support a positive experience for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced setting. This paid position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-functioning facility while developing valuable custodial skills. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, hallways, offices, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Use specialized equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers for floor care and maintenance. Conduct industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, including cleaning large-scale equipment or high-traffic zones. Assist with facilities maintenance duties such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate team. Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly. Support additional tasks like residential painting or light maintenance as needed to keep the facility in top condition. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques. Knowledge of floor care procedures including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors. Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and industrial cleaning practices. Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus. Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
