In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of our facilities are kept in pristine condition through thorough cleaning and maintenance practices. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute significantly to the overall cleanliness and sanitation of our premises, creating a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums with proper technique to ensure optimal performance. Apply appropriate cleaning agents and chemicals safely following chemical handling safety procedures to maintain sanitation standards. Conduct deep cleaning and floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Assist with custodial duties related to facilities maintenance, including minor repairs or reporting larger issues for resolution. Follow safety protocol adherence during all cleaning activities, including heavy lifting practices and manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Support industrial or commercial cleaning tasks as needed, including specialized sanitation projects or residential painting touch-ups. Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices consistently. Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience with floor buffers, floor care techniques, and general facilities maintenance is preferred. Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift.
