Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely for tasks such as floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to restore floors to their optimal condition. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools efficiently and safely. Conduct detailed floor care procedures including polishing, buffing, and applying protective coatings to maintain flooring appearance and longevity. Manage chemical agent handling with strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies or equipment to support efficient workflow. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client needs and maintaining professional communication throughout your shift. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or janitorial services with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices. Familiarity with floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, carpet cleaning, and floor refinishing techniques. Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely, including knowledge of proper storage and disposal procedures for floor cleaning chemicals. Strong manual handling skills with the physical stamina required for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Experience operating various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and carpet extractors. Excellent attention to detail coupled with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards. Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients and team members.
