Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Handle chemical agents safely while using cleaning supplies and equipment to disinfect surfaces, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, equipment, and supplies following safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Follow strict safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure personal safety and compliance with health regulations. Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing, stripping, sealing, and other floor care procedures to preserve their appearance and durability. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks when needed, including minor repairs or reporting issues to the appropriate personnel. Requirements Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures. Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and scrubbers effectively. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors.
