A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Facilities Manager Job Summary:
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment within assigned facilities. This role ensures that manufacturing areas, restrooms, and common work areas are cleaned, sanitized, and well-maintained to support daily operations and promote a healthy workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and other facility areas as needed Sweep, mop and perform floor care on epoxy coating in manufacturing areas Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces as directed Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals properly Maintain cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions Setup and break down rooms for meetings or events as needed Ensure compliance with company policies and health regulations
Qualifications:
Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus Ability to operate cleaning equipment (buffers, vacuums, etc.) Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures Strong attention to detail and time management skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks Comfortable working in various environments (indoors/outdoors, in manufacturing lab environment and different temperatures)
Work Environment:
May be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or early morning shifts based on business needs. Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment, and varying indoor and outdoor environmental conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as required.
