Emerald Cleaning Solutions LLC, a JAN-PRO franchisee, is seeking reliable and experienced Day Porters to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of a residential apartment community in Oceanside, California. The ideal candidate has previous professional janitorial or day porter experience, works independently, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for residents and visitors. Responsibilities Clean and maintain apartment community common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and elevators. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed. Clean and sanitize common-area restrooms. Maintain cleanliness of shared amenities and recreational areas as assigned. Empty trash containers and replace liners. Pick up litter and debris around the property, including sidewalks, entrances, and designated outdoor common areas. Clean glass doors, windows within reach, and high-touch surfaces. Spot-clean spills, stains, and visible dirt throughout the shift. Restock restroom supplies as needed. Report maintenance concerns, damages, or safety hazards to management. Complete assigned daily cleaning checklists and maintain consistent cleaning standards. Requirements Previous professional janitorial, commercial cleaning, or day porter experience is required. Experience cleaning apartment communities or residential properties is preferred. Ability to work independently without constant supervision. Strong attention to detail and time management. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting, with reasonable accommodation where applicable. Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors, residents, and property staff. Additional Information We are looking for dependable individuals who understand the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and professional residential environment. This is not an entry-level position. Previous cleaning experience is required. Shifts are Saturday and Sunday 8hrs per day. schedule can vary. Job description is subject to change.
