About Us Falafel Hub & Grill is a family-owned Mediterranean restaurant in Pittsburg. We serve hand-cut zabiha halal falafel, kabobs, gyros, platters, and wraps. Our team is close-knit and cares about fresh food, clean kitchens, and treating customers and staff like family. We're growing and looking for reliable people to grow with us. About the Job This is a fast-paced kitchen job, and most of the work is food prep. You'll keep the line stocked and ready during our busiest rushes. You'll also help keep the kitchen clean and the dishes moving. This job is a good fit if you like staying busy, working quickly, and being part of a hardworking team. What You'll Do Prep ingredients quickly and accurately: chopping vegetables, marinating meats, making sauces and dips, and portioning Prepare falafel mix, kabobs, and gyro meat to our recipes Keep prep containers and stations full so the line never runs out during rushes Cook menu items when needed during busy times Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils as they come in Clean and sanitize prep areas, the kitchen, and the dining area, including opening and closing duties Follow food safety rules for labeling, dating, and proper storage What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in the food industry (restaurant kitchen, food prep, or line cook) Able to work fast and stay organized under pressure Comfortable doing repetitive prep work for full shifts Dependable, on time, and a good team player Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Available to work weekdays, weekends, and evenings California Food Handler Card, or willing to get one within 30 days of hire What We Offer $19.50 per hour starting pay A chance to grow to $22.00 per hour within 2 years, based on performance Extra hours available when needed Free or discounted staff meals A family-owned workplace with room to grow as we expand Schedule Shifts fall within our business hours, which are 11 AM to 9 PM most days and 3 PM to 9 PM on Fridays.
