The community emphasizes high-quality care, well-maintained facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors, and team members. Staff work collaboratively to support residents' independence, dignity, and well-being. Position Summary This is an on-site janitorial role based in Redwood City, CA. This role is responsible for performing janitorial duties in the community as assigned to support the upkeep of a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the residents, visitors, and team members. Daily tasks include sanitizing and disinfecting rooms, bathrooms, and surfaces, as well as addressing urgent cleanup needs. This role collaborates with leadership and care teams to support a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for residents and staff, including occasional evening or weekend support as needed Experience and Qualifications One (1) year of janitorial experience in a healthcare environment preferred Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication Competent in organizational, time management skills Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills Complete and pass a Live Scan Essential Duties Clean and sanitize rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness Replenish toilet tissue, paper towels, soap, and other supplies as needed Inspect rooms after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met Empty waste receptacles and dispose of trash Strip, sweep, mop,and buff floors; operate and maintain heavy floor care equipment used in work Steam and clean carpets; clean and wash soiled furniture as needed Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction Ability to lift and move heavy items Any additional duties that may be assigned to you, such as moving furniture, etc.
