Porter Job Description The Porter safely moves, organizes, and cares for motorcycles and powersports vehicles across the dealership and lot, while maintaining a clean, presentable environment and preparing units for customer delivery and display. Responsibilities Move, park, and organize motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, and other inventory throughout the dealership and lot in a safe and efficient manner. Push and pull motorcycles and other powersports units as needed for staging, service, and customer access. Fuel motorcycles and other units according to dealership procedures and safety standards. Clean, wash, and detail showroom vehicles and outdoor inventory to maintain a professional appearance. Inspect units for cleanliness, basic condition, and presentation before display or customer delivery. Prepare units for customer delivery, ensuring they are clean, fueled, and properly staged. Prepare units for showroom and lot display so they are visually appealing and easy for customers to view. Support janitorial and general cleaning tasks in areas related to vehicle display and inventory. Essential Skills Valid M1 motorcycle license. Ability to safely operate and maneuver motorcycles and other powersports vehicles. Experience working with motorcycles or powersport vehicles such as dirt bikes, ATVs, or side-by-sides. Capability to perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, and moving motorcycles and other units. Basic inspection skills to identify cleanliness and general condition of vehicles. Attention to detail when cleaning, washing, and preparing vehicles for display or delivery. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles. Familiarity with dealership or automotive environment. Strong organizational skills to manage vehicle placement and inventory flow. Reliability and punctuality in following scheduled hours. The schedule runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the months of September through November and January through March. The position involves regular physical activity, including walking, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods, and requires adherence to safety practices when handling fuel and operating vehicles. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Signal Hill, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
