Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to join our dynamic facilities team! As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Your proactive approach to cleaning, janitorial duties, and basic maintenance will ensure that our spaces are pristine and well-kept, fostering a positive experience for staff, visitors, and clients alike. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a polished appearance Handle industrial cleaning tasks involving heavy-duty equipment and specialized cleaning solutions Assist with janitorial responsibilities like trash removal, restocking supplies, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for lighting, plumbing or structural issues Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas including walkways, parking lots, and loading zones to promote safety and curb appeal Experience Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals is highly desirable Background in facilities maintenance or porter roles is advantageous Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Familiarity with residential painting or basic repair work is a plus Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety Join us in creating clean, safe environments that inspire productivity and well-being!
