Janitor Supervisor Job Description The Evening Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all nightly field operations, ensuring services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company and client expectations. This role combines hands-on field leadership with administrative responsibilities, requiring strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will lead by example, support team performance, maintain quality standards, and build strong relationships with both employees and clients. The Supervisor reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence. Responsibilities Supervise daily evening shift operations across multiple job sites. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and client specifications. Train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and safety standards. Conduct routine quality control inspections and address service gaps. Identify and report safety concerns or areas requiring attention. Maintain strong client relationships and respond promptly to service needs. Assist with supply inventory and material management. Perform janitorial duties as needed to support operations. Travel between job sites during shift as required. Ensure all company standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed consistently. Coordinate workforce scheduling and daily task assignments. Maintain accurate records including timecards, schedules, and operational documentation. Review and submit employee hours using Paycom. Prepare weekly reports detailing operations, issues, and client interactions. Collaborate with HR on employee relations, including coaching, performance management, and documentation. Conduct regular check-ins with team members to support engagement and performance. Maintain detailed digital and written records with strong attention to accuracy. Essential Skills Strong proficiency in Paycom for time tracking and scheduling. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word required). Comfortable using mobile apps, internal systems, and reporting tools. Ability to generate clear and accurate reports independently. Typing speed of 40-50+ WPM. Strong attention to detail in data entry and documentation. Fluency in English and Spanish. 5-7 years of janitorial or custodial experience (5-10 years preferred). At least 3 years of supervisory experience managing labor teams and client interactions. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. Valid driver's license and dependable transportation (required). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
