What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, ensures the building is kept clean and orderly according to the cleaning protocol. Follows and maintains a safe, and clean work environment. Performs cleaning duties such as sanitizing floors and removing trash.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform and document cleaning and inspection activities according to the master cleaning schedule. Ability to work from heights. Follows Custodian Daily Checklist to ensure the facility is kept clean and neat. Clean and dust surface areas where needed. Prepare cleaning solutions according to written instructions provided. Understand and abide by SDS procedures to prevent injuries and damage to floors and fixtures. Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Upon completion and certification of training, the Custodian will operate power equipment (i.e., sit-down floor scrubber, pallet jack, forklift, etc.). Stock and maintain janitorial supply room and storage areas. Re-stocks supplies such as hair nets, beard nets, ear plugs, and rest room supplies. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Perform other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE
