GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Under supervision, to perform janitorial duties in keeping an area assigned area clean and orderly. Individuals interested in the position must take and pass the online Custodian I examination. ExamControlId=1626 Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three (3) percent in exchange for five (5) hours per month of the Personal Leave. Temporary state housing may be available for those relocating to fill hard to recruit positions. Housing assignments and rates will be determined in accordance with Department policy, operational priorities, and applicable labor agreements. Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment. This recruitment may be utilized to fill future vacancies that may occur during the life of the certification list. Pursuant to California Government Code requirements, candidates must be residents of the State of California at the time of appointment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must possess and maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform the duties contained in the duty statement. Must be able to understand all facility and departmental policy and procedures.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
On-going interaction with clients, personnel and the general public. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment, work in extreme weather conditions. Position requires standing, sitting, lifting, bending and stooping. Subject to float in different work areas and assignments as required. Minimum Requirements

These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions.
