In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure all areas meet high standards of sanitation and hygiene. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting floors, surfaces, and fixtures throughout the premises. Handle window cleaning tasks to ensure clear visibility and maintain aesthetic appeal. Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, floor buffers, and vacuum cleaners efficiently and safely. Manage laundry services for linens or uniforms as needed, ensuring proper handling and sanitation. Apply proper chemical handling procedures when using cleaning agents to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations. Conduct sanitation and infection control procedures to uphold hygiene standards in all areas. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly during all cleaning activities to safeguard health and safety. Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies or equipment while adhering to manual handling safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas consistently throughout the day. Support custodial duties related to commercial cleaning projects, including pressure washing exterior surfaces when required. Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of cleaning techniques such as window cleaning, floor care, and sanitation practices is highly desirable. Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Experience with chemical handling and infection control protocols is advantageous. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout shifts.
