In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the overall maintenance and appearance of our premises. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers. Handle various chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment. Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies regularly. Operate custodial equipment including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and pressure washers to ensure optimal cleanliness. Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning materials in accordance with safe lifting practices. Follow all safety protocols during cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting when needed. Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects that require specialized techniques or equipment. Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health regulations and company policies for sanitation and safety. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any facility-related concerns from staff or visitors promptly and professionally. Experience Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and use of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and chemical agents is essential. Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures is highly valued. Prior work involving heavy lifting, manual handling, or facilities maintenance will be advantageous. Customer service skills are important for interacting professionally with staff and visitors. Knowledge of safety protocol adherence during cleaning operations ensures a secure working environment. Previous experience in industrial cleaning or porter roles can provide a strong foundation for this position.
