Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner / Janitorial Contractor operating as a 1099 Independent Contractor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across various residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and surface sanitation in residential and commercial settings. Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are consistently met or exceeded. Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items as needed. Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents safely and effectively for floor care, carpet cleaning, and surface maintenance. Conduct outdoor work including trash removal, outdoor surface cleaning, and maintaining cleanliness of exterior areas. Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture, equipment, or supplies while following safety protocols. Communicate professionally with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service. Maintain accurate records of completed work, supplies used, and any issues encountered during service delivery. Ensure all cleaning surfaces are sanitized according to health standards while adhering to time management schedules for efficient service delivery. Skills Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning with knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards. Strong understanding of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning. Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and environmentally friendly products. Ability to handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Skilled in using various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and dusters. Knowledge of outdoor work practices including outdoor surface maintenance and trash disposal. Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple client locations. Experience in housekeeping management or supervising other cleaners is a plus but not required.
