This role involves providing cleaning support at school facilities as needed. Ideal for candidates seeking a flexible schedule and varied work environments. Duties Perform cleaning tasks throughout the school premises, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas. Conduct routine janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to uphold hygiene standards. Utilize floor care equipment for buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors to maintain a professional appearance. Assist with light maintenance tasks including minor repairs and troubleshooting facilities issues. Support industrial cleaning efforts when necessary, including cleaning large areas or specialized equipment. Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to ensure a hazard-free environment. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing. Requirements Prior experience in custodial work or janitorial services is preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus. Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment safely. Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and proper handling procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently in a flexible schedule. Basic understanding of facilities maintenance and ability to assist with minor repairs when needed.
