Duties Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety Handle janitorial tasks including trash removal, dusting, window washing, and disinfecting surfaces to promote health and hygiene Maintain facilities by performing light repairs, painting walls or touch-ups as needed to uphold the school's appearance Operate industrial cleaning machinery safely and efficiently for deep cleaning projects or routine maintenance Support general facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, fixing minor plumbing issues, or assembling furniture Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored properly and maintained in good working order Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly desirable Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors Experience with general facilities maintenance tasks such as painting or minor repairs is a plus Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures using various cleaning agents and equipment Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while operating machinery and handling chemicals Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders Join us in creating a clean, safe environment that inspires learning!
