A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Custodian, Full-Time District Wide- Floater (Union
- Two Positions available) 12-Month position 2nd Shift, 2:30 pm
- 10:30 pm 40 Hours per week (possible overtime)
HOURLY WAGE
$30.64 per hour and full benefits as provided in Custodial, Maintenance and General Service Employees' Union Agreement.DUTIES:
Provide a clean, safe and healthy school environment. Complete tasks requested by administrators, Head Custodian, and the Custodial Foreman.QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2-years custodial or relevant cleaning work experience and valid Connecticut driver's license. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with supervisors, co-workers and the general public. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to understand and follow directions, assignment routines and the methods, techniques and materials used in a cleaning operation.STARTING DATE
