Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas. Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure they are clean and presentable. Conduct thorough janitorial services in both commercial and residential settings as needed. Assist with industrial cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Carry out facilities maintenance duties such as minor repairs and upkeep of equipment. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts effectively. Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a safe environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned according to established protocols. Requirements Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with cleaning procedures and equipment. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types. Experience in commercial cleaning environments is a plus. Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks and respond to facility needs effectively. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work standards. Good physical stamina; ability to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
