Are you a compassionate and dedicated Floor Technician ready for part-time work and eager to make a real difference in residents' lives? We are seeking a part time Floor Technician who is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our long-term care facility. You will perform floor care duties—such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, waxing, vacuuming, and carpet maintenance—as well as general porter tasks like emptying trash, cleaning common areas, restocking supplies, and responding to housekeeping requests. Perform floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, waxing, and vacuuming throughout the facility to maintain clean, safe surfaces. Shampoo, extract, and spot-clean carpets and area rugs as scheduled. Empty trash and recycling receptacles in resident rooms and common areas; replace liners and transport waste to designated disposal areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, lounges, hallways, and other assigned areas; wipe down countertops, furnishings, and fixtures. Restock cleaning supplies and service carts; maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs. Attend to spills and housekeeping requests promptly to ensure a safe, hazard-free environment. Observe and follow safety procedures, infection control guidelines, and facility policies while using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and supervisors regarding cleaning needs, concerns, or observations.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Dependable, resident-centered attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Physical stamina and ability to perform floor care and porter duties — including standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to approximately 50 lbs), pushing, and pulling as required. Comfortable working in a long-term care or similar healthcare environment; previous floor care, janitorial, or porter experience preferred but not required. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, follow directions, and uphold facility safety, infection control, and cleanliness standards.ABOUT US
