In person Garden Communities is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Porter for our apartment community in Trumbull, CT. The Porter will be responsible for helping maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of the property. This role is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being active throughout the day, and can help create a clean and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. The ideal candidate will have prior porter, janitorial, groundskeeping, cleaning, or property maintenance experience. We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, and able to work independently while also supporting the maintenance and property management team. Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of common areas, hallways, lobbies, stairwells, laundry rooms, and amenity areas Pick up trash and debris throughout the property grounds Clean and maintain exterior areas, sidewalks, parking areas, and building entrances Assist with light groundskeeping and general property upkeep Report maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor Assist with snow removal, salting, and seasonal property needs as required Help maintain a clean and professional appearance throughout the community Provide courteous service when interacting with residents, guests, vendors, and staff Assist the maintenance team with general tasks as needed Follow company policies and safety procedures Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor Qualifications Prior porter, janitorial, cleaning, groundskeeping, or property maintenance experience preferred Must be reliable, punctual, and hardworking Professional and respectful attitude Strong attention to detail Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Must be able to work full-time, including some weekends as needed Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance
