Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cleaning Technician and play a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments across various commercial and institutional settings. Duties Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a spotless appearance. Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to remove stains and dirt buildup. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas by sanitizing surfaces, emptying trash bins, and replenishing supplies. Utilize janitorial tools and cleaning agents safely and effectively to achieve optimal results while adhering to environmental standards. Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or damage. Inspect assigned areas regularly to identify maintenance needs or potential hazards, reporting issues promptly. Assist with special cleaning projects such as floor care treatments or deep cleans to uphold high standards of hygiene. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is preferred. Familiarity with various cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, buffing, and environmental services. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, extractors, and vacuums confidently. Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment use. Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts.
