A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description

This is a full-time, 2nd Shift Custodian position for David E. Robinson Elementary School . This position requires the individual to be able to climb ladders, consistently lift 50 pounds, and complete tasks as assigned. Specific hours may be adjusted depending on the needs of the building by the principal. Internal candidates must complete on-line transfer request form.
QUALIFICATION
Applicant must possess a high school diploma; certificate of completion, and/or GED. Individuals must provide a copy of high school diploma and meet all necessary employment requirements.
SALARY:
In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included. Pre-employment Requirements Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation. All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test. Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following: proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
