A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

GENERAL SUMMARY
To maintain environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures of The Crayola Experience. Employees will perform and oversee a variety of janitorial, custodial tasks to maintain a clean and safe building.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Cleans and services restrooms. Sweeps, vacuums, and mops floors and stairways. Gathers and disposes of rubbish and waste materials. Cleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees. Dusts such items as furniture, file cabinets, and windowsills using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand-cleaning items. Maintains an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies. May perform snow removal and salting duties at entrance ways to The Crayola Experience. Assists with evacuations and emergencies as needed. Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. General decision regarding cleaning assignments will be made on a daily basis as needed according to the volume of people. Responsibility for monitoring activity areas for cleanliness and determining how to adapt the facilitation of an area due to visitor volume or visitor needs.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Prior experience cleaning a family attraction, institutional or educational setting preferred. Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Must be able to follow detailed directions. Must be able to complete tasks quickly and effectively. Must maintain prompt and regular attendance. Strong oral, interpersonal and customer service skills required. Must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal. Must maintain First Aid and CPR certification and be familiar with infectious materials clean-up and removal.
