This position is responsible for performing comprehensive cleaning and custodial duties during evening and overnight hours, ensuring our facility is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and ready for employees and visitors the following business day. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. This position requires a strong work ethic, excellent time management, and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards while working outside regular business hours. Duties Perform thorough nightly cleaning of offices, workstations, conference rooms, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors using appropriate cleaning equipment, including floor buffers and scrubbers when necessary. Clean and disinfect desks, countertops, door handles, light switches, and other frequently touched surfaces. Empty trash and recycling receptacles, replace liners, and transport waste to designated disposal areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, and floors, while replenishing paper products, soap, and other supplies. Clean glass doors, interior windows, and other glass surfaces to maintain a professional appearance. Perform deep-cleaning tasks as assigned, including carpet cleaning, floor buffing, and detailed sanitation. Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with established safety procedures and manufacturer instructions. Move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed to complete cleaning tasks while following proper lifting techniques. Identify and promptly report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or needed repairs. Follow established nightly cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all assigned areas are completed before the next business day. Secure cleaning supplies and equipment and follow all facility security procedures, including locking designated areas and reporting unusual activity. Work independently and efficiently during evening or overnight hours with minimal supervision. Experience & Qualifications Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred. Experience cleaning office buildings or large commercial facilities is highly desirable. Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor scrubbers, and buffers. Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and safe chemical handling. Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and complete assigned tasks within scheduled hours. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a consistently clean workplace. Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and the ability to consistently work evening or overnight schedules. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with workplace safety and security policies.
