Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

The Sales Porter moves and cleans vehicles, keeps the vehicles in displayable condition, and helps managers as requested within the Sales Department. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Duties/Responsibilities Maintains new- and used-vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing gas in vehicles when necessary. Places buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles. Keeps new- and used-vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards. Sweeps, shovels, or vacuums loose debris from work areas. Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations. Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed. Responsible for moving vehicles and errands critical to the dealerships daily success Makes key tags for vehicles utilizing applicable software. May shuttle customers and/or move cars to offsite vendor locations. May be required to assist in the service and parts department as well. Assists in keeping the dealership clean at all times, including but not limited to cleaning windows and doors, parking lots, customer areas, shops, breakrooms, etc. Aids customers as needed. Other tasks as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Must have ample dexterity to bend, reach, stretch, sit, stand, type, and lift up to 50 pounds. Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
