Janitor/Cleaner

Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure they are safe and visually appealing. Handle waste disposal by emptying trash bins and recycling containers regularly while following proper disposal procedures. Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing fixtures, or minor repairs as needed. Use commercial cleaning equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols. Support special cleaning projects such as industrial cleaning or deep sanitation when required. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing is advantageous. Experience with industrial cleaning processes or facilities maintenance is a plus. Familiarity with cleaning supplies, equipment operation, and safety procedures related to custodial work. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough completion of tasks.
