Custodial Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Custodial Worker to support cleaning operations in Gainesville, FL This position focuses on cleaning and sanitizing client rooms after discharge, ensuring a safe, clean, and respectful environment for incoming clients and staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean and disinfect client rooms after discharge, including bathrooms, bedding areas, and personal spaces Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, and furniture Remove trash, linens, and any remaining personal or disposable items from rooms Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas Identify and report any maintenance or safety concerns Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive healthcare environment

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods Must be able to climb and descend stairs frequently during shifts Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds Ability to operate cleaning equipment and carts safely Ability to work in environments requiring strict sanitation standards

Qualifications:

Previous custodial, housekeeping, or healthcare cleaning experience preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently Reliable transportation Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and respect for client privacy

Work Schedule:

Part-time positions available Day, evening, or weekend shifts may be required depending on facility needs

Pay:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
