Project Manager - Real Estate Development

A local real estate development and property management company is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee the development of multiple projects including a new multi-story apartment community and assist with additional construction and capital improvement projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team involved in large-scale residential development from the ground up. Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-development through completion Work closely with developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and municipal officials Monitor project schedules, budgets, timelines, and quality standards Manage vendor bidding, contracts, and project documentation Conduct regular site visits and project meetings Ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, safety regulations, and project specifications Assist with problem-solving and project troubleshooting throughout construction Provide regular progress updates to ownership and management teams Support transition from construction completion into property operations Qualifications Experience in construction project management, real estate development, commercial construction, or multifamily housing preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and construction processes Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, and local municipalities Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred but not required based on experience Preferred Experience Multifamily or apartment construction experience Ground-up development experience Property management or real estate industry experience Understanding of permitting and inspections processes Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Opportunity for growth with an expanding company Health benefits and paid time off available Matched Retirement Plan Location Based in the Gainesville, Florida area with regular on-site project involvement.
